Georgia football coach Kirby Smart thinks starting quarterback Stetson Bennett is one of the least respected players in the country.

The child is a great athlete. Smart said that he has good arm strength. It's fine with me that people keep questioning him.

Bennett was named the Most Valuable Player of the College Football Playoff National Championship after completing 17 of 26 passes for 222 yards and two touchdown.

Bennett said that he thinks he's good in response to Smart's comments. I have gotten Smart's and my coaches' respect. I hope I have people who know ball's respect.

I can look in the mirror and see that there were times last year when I struggled. I can't worry about what the country thinks.

Along with Smart's praise of Bennett, the coach said his championship team has built a program to be sustained.

Smart said that you have to have accomplished something in order to be commodified. Men on this team have not done that. They haven't yet. There are 15 players that have gone to camp or the draft. They've left. The returning players are hungry.

People want to know how it feels to be hunted. The University of Georgia won't be hunting us. I can assure you that.
