Native Voice, a voice service provider for hardware devices, is partnering with Skullcandy to make multiple voice assistants available on the Push Active and Grind Series headphones.

They will have support for wake words. Skullcandy's voice assistant has limited functions to control play/pause songs, volume, skip tracks and accept calls. You will be able to use Skullcandy's own assistant to control and issue other smart commands, such as finding a song or setting a reminder, on select headphones.

In May, Sonos unveiled its own voice assistant for a range of speakers to control and even play music on some services. You can use other assistants for smart commands. You can use two assistants at the same time on the same speaker, but only Pioneer has dual assistants.

Upcoming capabilities like Universal Device Commands (UDCs) to invoke a command from any compatible assistant on the device and agent transfers to shift requests from one assistant to another were announced at the event. It will be easier for customers to use multiple assistants on a device without having to remember voice assistant features and limitations.

The company is putting the smart screen and the device SDKs together under a single platform called the alexa voice service.
