Chelsea star Sam Kerr in FIFA 23.

With the Euros currently underway in a hot England, interest in the women's game is particularly high, which is why EA is releasing the next version of the game.

Women's club teams from the top leagues in England and France will be added to the game in a number of changes. The men's and women's world cups will take place in Australia and New Zealand in the following years. There will be a free, post-launch update.

The introduction of women's international teams in the 2016 edition of the game was a long time coming. If you want to play as a big club in the women's game, like the Portland Thorns or Barcelona, it's still far behind the men's experience.

Outside of adding more options for fans of women's soccer, the next evolution of HyperMotion2 technology is included in the game. You can see a glimpse of that in the trailer.

This version of the game is notable because it will be the last version of the game from the company and it will be replaced by a new franchise calledEA Sports FC.

On September 30th, the PC, XBOX, PS4, PS5 and Stadia will get a new version of the game.
