According to court records, Rudy Giuliani is going to testify before a New York judge in August about the Georgia investigation.
Giuliani, who was Trump's personal lawyer at the time, spearheaded legal efforts by the Republican president to overturn the electoral results in several swing states.
Giuliani, a former New York City mayor and ex-federal prosecutor, was subpoenaed in June to testify before a grand jury in Atlanta.
A subpoena has been issued to Lindsey Graham, a Republican senator from South Carolina.
In a court filing in Atlanta, the Fulton County District Attorney said that the subpoena for Giuliani was presented to a New York judge because the lawyer lives in Manhattan.
On July 11th, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Thomas Farber ordered Giuliani to appear in court and argue why he shouldn't have to comply with the subpoena.
On July 13th, Farber issued a final order directing Giuliani to appear and testify before the Special Purpose Grand Jury on August 9th, 2022.
The district attorney said that Giuliani had been served.
