Russian lawmakers baselessly claim their army is up against biologically modified Ukrainian super soldiers

The absurd conspiracy theory that Ukrainians were being turned into monsters in the country's bio labs was pushed this week by two Russian lawmakers.

The deputy speaker of Russia's Federation Council and the deputy chair of the State Duma are leading an investigation into the alleged laboratories in Ukraine.

This claim appeared to have been taken one step further by the Russian politicians this week, who said they had tested the blood of captured Ukrainian soldiers and found evidence of experiments.

There is no evidence of super soldiers being deployed by the Ukrainians.
