Jacob deGrom had a setback in his recovery from his injury.
According to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo, deGrom experienced "mild muscle soreness around his shoulder" on Sunday, which caused the Mets to push back his simulation game that was scheduled for Thursday.
The Mets may have to wait until August for deGrom to come back.
DeGrom hasn't played in over a year due to a number of injuries, including forearm and elbow issues. He has been dealing with stress in his shoulder.
He is one of the top pitchers in baseball. He had a.556 WHIP and 146 strikeouts last year.
