A woman whose firefighter father was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks slammed former President Donald Trump for hosting a Saudi-backed golf tournament.

She told CNN that she was shocked and disappointed when she learned that the golf series would be held in the US. The families of 9/11 victims have accused the Saudi government of being involved in the attacks.

The first stop of the series was in Portland. She was "astounded" by the news that Trump's New Jersey resort would be the next site.

She told CNN that it was shocking that it was taking place in the backyard of Ground Zero, where there are a lot of 9/11 victims. It's even worse for that to be posted by a former President. It is difficult to find the words.

In a Monday Truth Social post, Trump urged pro golfers to join the LIV invitational, further cementing a feud between the former president and thePGA which dates back more than a year, after the golfing body canceled a tournament scheduled to take place at Trump's Bedminster course after the January

When the inevitable merger with LIV comes, all of those golfers who remain loyal to the very disloyal PGA will pay a big price.

The LIV has been suspended by the PGA due to allegations that Saudi Arabia is using the tournament to boost its international reputation after the assassination of a dissident in the country. There is an ongoing battle in the golf world as high-profile players decide their side.

9/11 Justice wrote a letter to Trump asking him to pull his support for the tournament because of the former president's history of suggesting that Saudi Arabia was involved in the 9/11 attacks.

A person for Trump did not reply immediately.

As of yet, she is not aware of any response from Trump. The letter was responded to by LIV Gold.

These families have our deepest sympathies. Some may disagree, but we think golf is a force for good.

She wants Trump to know that the pain of 9/11 is still felt by people.

A family is living with a huge hole in their lives. It's not easy. She said it would get harder if anything.
