Veteran forward JaMychal Green is working toward a contract buyout with Oklahoma City, and once that’s completed and he’s cleared waivers, Green intends to sign with Golden State, sources tell ESPN.

Green played in 16.2 minutes per game for the Denver Nuggets.

Denver traded Green and a protected first-round pick to Oklahoma City in exchange for the draft rights to UCLA small forward Manning.

Green adds more depth to a Warriors frontcourt that has lost two players in free agency. Iguodala is currently pondering his future.

The Warriors' frontcourt is in good shape with the return of Draymond Green and Kevon Looney, as well as Jonathan Kuminga off the bench.

Center James Wiseman is returning from a torn meniscus that has kept him out for more than a year.

Green is in the running for the title. The 32-year-old had a rough three-point shooting year last season, but he's two years removed from hitting 39.9% of his shots from beyond the rim in 2020. He shot an efficient 48.6 percent from the field for the team that made the playoffs.

Green should provide quality minutes off the bench for the Dubs.
