The Ohio Supreme Court ruled on July 19 that the state's Republican-drawn congressional maps are unconstitutional, but they will remain in place for this fall's elections.

According to the ruling, the maps break the anti-gerrymandering rules.

The plan was found to be in violation of the Ohio Constitution because it favored the Republican party.

The ruling states that the maps will be used in the November elections because they were already used in the May primaries.

The legislature has 3 days to come up with new maps.

According to The Columbus Dispatch, the map gave victories to Republicans in 13 of the 18 districts.
