The survival co-op that combines elements of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and A Bug's Life is getting an animated TV adaptation. The author of Star Wars: Clone Wars will write the story with the director sitting in the chair.

In 2020 Grounded will be available on PC and XBOX. The game has 10 million players and follows a group of friends who shrink down to the size of ants. They have to gather resources, craft supplies, and build a base to survive as they battle their way through a backyard filled with giant insects.

It's not clear where the series will air or if it'll be a streaming exclusive.

Grounded is one of a number of games that are being adapted for the small screen. The live-action Halo series was released earlier this year by Paramount Plus, and they are currently working on a Sonic series. The Last of Us TV series is one of the adaptions being worked on.
