The new design of Overture has four engines. With 65–80 passengers at twice the speed of today's airliners, Overture will fly over water with a range of 4,250 nautical miles.

Key Features

The airliner will be powered by four powerful, wing-mounted engines that allow it to cruise at Mach 1.7 over water and just under Mach 1 over land.

The world's first automated noise reduction system will be used by Overture. The airliner will meet the same regulatory noise levels as the latest subsonic airplanes. There will be a quieter experience for passengers and airport communities.

The principle of area-ruling says that the front of the aircraft has a bigger diameter than the rear. This design technique has been applied by Boom.

The aircraft's wings are sculpted to improve their performance. Ensuring safety and stability at any speed is helped by the wing shaping.

The majority of the build will be lighter, stronger, and more stable than metal. The aircraft's aerodynamic efficiency can be contributed to by the manufacturing of carbon composites.

Overture is a net zero carbon plane.

Overture Specifications:

The cruise speed is Mach 1.7 supersonic, the range is 4,250 NM and the passengers are 65 to 80 years old.

Airport community noise: Chapter 14.

According to Boom, the new design is the culmination of 26 million core hours of simulations, five wind tunnel tests, and the careful evaluation of 51 full design iterations.

Boom Supersonic - schedule. But the 'elephant in the Boom' - what engines will it use? Scholl says a lot more progress going on engines behind the scenes - with multiple commercial cores being evaluated. Special Mission Variants

The US Government and its allies will be able to benefit from a partnership with Boom Supersonic.

It's a strategic advantage to have time in high consequence scenarios. The potential for Overture to provide the US and our allies with an unparalleled high-speed capability is unlocked by this collaboration.
