Legos are being used to treat the Atari 2600. The new model of the toy company is based on the 1980 revision of the console rather than its 1977 debut and consists of 2,528 pieces. On August 1st, it will be available for $2399.99 and coincides with the Atari 50th anniversary.
Two years ago, Lego made a similar recreation of Nintendo's classic NES console. The Atari model is more self-contained than the Lego Nintendo model because there is a controller and a console in it. The console opens up to reveal a room from the 1980's.
The Lego consoles fit the Legos.
The classic games Asteroids, Adventure, and Centipede can be played on the Lego console. Blocksy recreations of the games are shown in three external dioramas. Promobricks reported the existence of the set.
Chris McVeigh said that the Atari 2600 was one of the most memorable gifts he received as a child. This is the reason why Atari and Lego are in this awesome set. We hope that building this classic console will take you back to the good ol' days when you could play a few games for a few dollars.
