Changes to its free plan and a price increase are on the horizon. It is the first price increase since the launch of the company. Monthly Pro subscriptions will increase from $8 to $8.25 per user per month, and annual Pro subscriptions will increase from $6 to $7 per user per month.

The price increases will only affect Pro customers around the world. The price increases for another year can be avoided. Renewing your annual Pro subscription before September 1st will allow you to lock in the existing rate for another year. Monthly Pro subscribers can keep the current rate for a year if they switch to the annual rate before September 1.

The free plan of the company is being changed. The last 10,000 messages can be seen on the free server. The last 90 days of messages and uploads will be shown with no limit on how many messages have been sent or the amount of uploaded content. Most of the active free teams will have access to more of their message history with the new 90-day limit. You will always have access to 90 days of history even if you don't use Slack a lot.

The Clips feature allows users to send audio, video, and screen-share messages in channels and direct messages. From September 1st, free teams will be able to set retention periods for their messages.
