People have been trying to get their hands on the phone. With the release of the phone, it looks like it will get support for the ParanoidAndroid rom.

Carl Pei, the CEO, did not take to social media to announce that the third-party rom is coming to the phone.

ParanoidAndroid is an open-sourced custom operating system that allows users to modify their phones beyond what is normally available on the platform.

The Nothing phone saw a lot of hype despite being a slightly-above-average phone. Fans of custom ROMs will be more interested in the new phone partnership with ParanoidAndroid. With Carl Pei at the helm, Nothing's new phone may be one of the perfect ones for rooting and modding.

The news came just after Nothing put its source code and device tree on the internet. Third parties could start making their own OS for the phone with this information. They explain that the Nothing OS is almost identical to the current build ofAndroid, with some minor changes to make it different. OxygenOS was created by a good portion of the current ParanoidAndroid team.

Some of the best phones in the world have increased their support for ParanoidAndroid. There is currently no date for when people who like messing with their phone can see ParanoidAndroid ready for the Nothing phone.
