Duo Desus Nice and The Kid Mero, who established one of the top comedy brands of the decade with their podcasts Bodega Boys and their eponymous show, are finished.
Desus and Mero, also known as Daniel Baker andJoel Martinez, are two of Hollywood's most well-known and popular podcasts. The pair had a show on Viceland for a while before getting their own show on Showtime.
Deux Nice and The Kid Mero will be pursuing separate creative endeavors. The show will not be returning for a fifth season. It aired its last episode on June 23.
There was a lot of speculation over their status. The TV series had only 15 episodes in it's run, and the last episode aired in November, before the show went off the air. Thebodegahive was reassured last month that the art is coming back. Mero commented on a social post that the show was over. Desus said the hive deserved better than the end.
People seem to be unhappy about the break up. President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden were guests on the show, but it was a big hit. Despite the duo's slogan, the brand did not survive after such a smashing run.
