The National Football League Players Association has prepared a counter if Deshaun Watson is suspended for one year.
The players union will file a lawsuit in federal court if the league suspends him for a year, according to Charles Robinson.
On the July 6 episode of Keyshawn, JWill & Max, Dan reported that the NFL had proposed an indefinite suspension for the player.
He wasn't interested in signing up for the suspension.
The three-time Pro Bowler should avoid a suspension due to an argument between his representatives and Robinson. A 12-game ban would not be a serious offer.
Under the terms of the most recent collective bargaining agreement, the Commissioner of the National Football League cannot suspend himself on his own. If the player is found to have violated the personal conduct policy, the length of the ban can be changed.
The commissioner has a lot of latitude when it comes to punishment.
