12. Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones

  • Cast: Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman, and Ewan McGregor

We need to get the worst of the Star Wars movies out of the way as soon as possible. Attack of the Clones isn't as bad as it gets. The senate scenes, the overreliance onCGI sets, and the awkward conversations between Anakin and Padmé need to be told. Attack of the Clones is one of the worst Star Wars movies because of the curse of the middle movie.

The first and third movies of the trilogy knew what they wanted to do, even though the Star Wars prequel movies are not very good. The middle movie, Attack of the Clones, tries to bridge the gap between the cute, innocent kid in Episode I and Darth Vader in Episode III, but the writing was not up to par.

11. Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace

  • Release date: May 19, 1999
  • Cast: Ewan McGregor, Liam Neeson, and Natalie Portman

The first Star Wars movie has a lot of the same issues as Attack of the Clones and the main actor can't act. Jake Lloyd was only 10 years old when he played young Anakin in The Phantom Menace, but it was really hard to watch.

He is just one of many problems with this movie. Although most fans didn't notice at first because they were too excited about the return of Star Wars, telling the story of a 10-year-old Darth Vader before he's turned evil isn't that interesting.

The only reason this movie is higher up than Attack of the Clones is that it didn't make us sit through a lot of senate scenes. It's cool that Darth Maul is.

10. Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith

It should have been better, because it was the one that saw Darth Vader become a reality, and it was the one that was supposed to be the prequel.

It turned out that Anakin's journey to the dark side was a combination of some of the worst relationship advice we've ever seen and some spectacularly poor decision making skills. The whole thing came off as crazy and unbelievable. Why is it the best? It was the last one we had to sit through.

9. Star Wars: The Clone Wars

  • Release date: August 15, 2008
  • Cast: Matt Lanter (voice), Nika Futterman (voice), and Tom Kane (voice)

After Attack of the Clones, the Clone Wars try to make something decent out of the period after Obi-Wan discovers the clone army, but before he betrays him. It went too far the other way and is little more than a series of pointless fight scenes, sadly, in its attempt to not focus too much on the boring talkative scenes, it went too far the other way and is little more than a series of pointless fight scenes Our favorite lightsaber fights can be found in this list.

The Clone Wars is on this list because it introduced one of our favourite Star Wars characters, Ahsoka Tano, and gave birth to a decent spin-off TV show. We can cut it some slack because it is less than any of the other movies in the series. It's not much.

8. Solo: A Star Wars Story

  • Cast: Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, and Emilia Clarke

The first Star Wars movie was so good because of the anti-hero. Let's put him in a Disney-fied movie where he's still handsome, but not a bad guy. The only thing we know for certain is that the Lucasfilm executives were thinking when they came up with the idea of the film.

It's hard to make an uplifting movie about someone who was a baddie until he bumped into a hero, and that's what this film is about. Donald Glover is perfectly cast as a young Lando Calrissian and his sidekick L3 is a more than welcome addition to the universe, but this doesn't detract from the fact that the main character, Solo, is little more than a watered down version of the Han we If you are a fan of Star Wars, you can probably watch the movie, but it isn't one of the best ones.

7. Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker

  • Release date: December 20, 2019
  • Cast: Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Oscar Isaac

The Rise of Skywalker should be on this list. You are correct in saying that it should be. The Last Jedi was wiped out due to the final movie in the Skywalker saga. Instead, it chose to go back to the old Skywalker storyline, and by the ninth episode, it was feeling tired.

There are some great, if predictable, moments. Too much of this movie feels like a patchwork quilt of Star Wars movies that have come before it, just without the meaning. The return of Palpatine was a bit desperate and ridiculous. The Rise of Skywalker isn't as good as The Last Jedi when it comes to great film making.

6. Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi

  • Release date: December 15, 2017

The Last Jedi is the most controversial Star Wars movie of all time. It stomped all over Star Wars history by saying Rey's parents were "no one" and taking the magic out of the Force.

This rule-breaking makes it one of the best Star Wars movies because it was the first one in a long time that felt new and different. The Last Jedi broke the rules in new and exciting ways, and it did it with style, despite its flaws.

It is one of the best entries in the Star Wars saga and definitely not one to be missed.

5. Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens

It was a triumphant return to a galaxy far, far away for the new generation of Star Wars fans, just as it had been for the previous ones. We are reintroduced to the heroes we love from the original trilogy, as well as a whole new set who are just as bad. The baddie had a lot to live up to, but giving him a human side made him even scarier.

Some people point out that it is a remake of A New Hope, but the first Star Wars movie was a different story. We fell in love with the Star Wars universe when we first saw it.

4. Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi

  • Release date: May 25, 1983
  • Cast: Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher

The final film in the Star Wars trilogy is technically the worst of the three, but it is still a great movie. Return of the Jedi has earned its place as one of the best Star Wars movies because of its opening sequence, which is one of the best of all time, and the redemption scene between Darth Vader and his son, luke, that will always be remembered.

The camaraderie of the stars as they take down the Empire is one of the best parts of the movie. Is it low points? Despite the warm and fuzzy nostalgia we now feel towards them, the Ewoks were a bit silly and the gold bikini of Leia is a little problematic.

Let's not forget that this is the movie in which everyone knows thatluke kissed his sister. Return of the Jedi shouldn't be missed, even if you've watched all the Star Wars movies for the hundredth time or first time.

3. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

The story of the Rebels who stole the plans to the Death Star was the one that fans wanted to see turned into a movie. Thankfully though, the decision to step away from the traditional Star Wars movie cliches of opening crawl and screen wipes paid off in spades, giving us one of the best Star Wars movies to date.

The opening sequence in which the heroes kill an ally is very un-Star Wars-like and the appearance of Senator Bail Organa is a nod to the original movies. The chemistry between the leads, Diego Luna and Felicity Jones, makes the movie what it is and can we just talk about the last sequence? You might be dead inside if you don't get a lot of emotion watching the end of the movie.

It's a Star Wars story.

A New Hope is the movie that began it all. It's one of the top spots on our list of the best Star Wars movies, but it's also one of the best Star Wars movies of all time. The simplicity of the film makes it appealing. Any of us could be a part of something larger than ourselves. Leaving his mundane life behind and teaming up with a scoundrel with a heart of gold to save a princess, it's easy to see why audiences responded to the story of A New Hope

It is set in space, that princess is more than a damsel in distress, and the villain is so recognizable by his breathing alone, it is no wonder that this movie would inspire numerous sequels, spin-offs, and more merchandise. Fans return to A New Hope because it has everything they need in a movie.

If you don't know what the movie is about, you won't pay attention. The Empire Strikes Back was a sequel that was better than the original, and with a downer ending where the baddies essentially win, too.

The opening battle on Hoth, Lando Calrissian's introduction, and the biggest shock reveal in the history of cinema are just some of the reasons why Episode 5 isn't just There is no competition when it comes to ranking Star Wars movies. The Empire Strike Back is very well executed.
