The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner said Friday that Ivana Trump died of injuries she sustained in her apartment.
NBC New York reported that the death of Trump was ruled an accident.
The office will not comment on the investigation after releasing this determination.
An official with direct knowledge of the matter told the outlet that her injuries are similar to the ones she fell down the stairs.
The NYPD said that Trump was found in close proximity to the stairs. According to the outlet, someone called the authorities to do a check on Trump after she hadn't been seen in a while.
