One Heardle a day isn't cutting it. A new clone is waiting for you.

The song-guessing Wordle variant can be used to make individual music guessing games based on songs from the '60s, '70s, '80s, and '90s. It doesn't have anything to do with Heardle or its new owner, but it plugs into the streaming site.

Heardle Decades picks a random song from a list, but unlike Heardle, which picks from the top streamed songs of the last 10 years, each game picks a random song. The list of 1980s chart-toppers from the US and UK are taken into account.

It's just like Wordle and Heardle and all the other variables, you get a small sample of the song's opening and six guesses to name it, with each guess adding a few seconds to figure it out.

You can play Heardle Decades games for songs by George Michael and Wham!

The original Heardle, created by digital production studio Omaske, will remain free on its original site, even though it has been acquired by a different company.
