A female prisoner at a women's only prison in New Jersey became pregnant and was moved to another facility.

Dan Sperrazza, a spokesman for the New Jersey Department of Correction, told NJ.com that Minor was transferred from the Clinton prison to the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility.

Minor, who is serving a 30-year sentence for manslaughter, was placed in the vulnerable unit at the facility. Due to NJ DOC's privacy policies, he couldn't comment on Minor's housing situation

Minor's move came after the paper reported in April that there appeared to be two pregnant women at the prison.

The judge blocked the school's bathroom rule.

According to reports, Minor claimed in a July 15 post on her website that she was beaten during her transfer.

The department of corrections told NJ.com that it is looking into the matter.

The New Jersey Department of Correction can't comment on any active investigations. The safety and security of the incarcerated population and staff are of paramount importance to the Department.

The facility has faced a number of sex assault scandals and was slated to close last year.

The policy to allow prisoners to be housed according to their gender identity was enacted in New Jersey in the year 2021. The policy was supposed to be in place for a year.

Sperrazza told the paper that while the NJ DOC continues to operate under the policy, they are currently reviewing the policy for housing trans inmates with the intention of implementing minor modifications.

The paper said that minor is eligible for parole in 2037.
