The House committee investigating the January 6 riot expects to hear from the Secret Service by Tuesday, according to Rep. Lofgren.
The Department of Homeland Security's inspector general said last week that messages from Secret Service agents were deleted the day before the riot.
The inspector general said that he had been trying to get this information and that they had been deleted after he asked for them. The inspector general of Homeland Security gave us a report, Lofgren said.

"Then there was a statement made by the spokesman for the department that it wasn't true, it wasn't fair, and that they, in fact, had pertinent texts," she said.
The committee needed all the texts from January 5 and January 6.
They didn't back up their data before they reset their phones. That is insane. She did not know why that would be.
The next public hearing will focus on former President Donald Trump's and what happened and didn't happen that day and people can make their own decisions if there was a "dereliction of duty."
