The NBA 2K23 Summer League championship game will be held in Las Vegas on Sunday afternoon. It's on the air on Disney. The title game of this year's NBA playoffs will feature the New York Knicks and the Portland Trail blazers, despite the return of the Golden State Warriors'2020 lottery pick.

New York and Portland will square off for the summer league title because of the Knicks' superior point differential.

The Las Vegas summer league has never had championship rings for the winners. There is a lot to play for.

The two teams have met in Las Vegas before. The Knicks lost to the Blazers 88-77. In that game, Portland's Trendon Watford had 18 points, while New York's Quentin Grimes had 24.

There is a breakdown of key players to watch in the championship game, as well as a look at how both teams made it to this point.

Trail Blazers: How they got here

After opening summer league play with an 81-78 loss to the Detroit Pistons, the Blazers bounced back with four wins in a row.

After losing the No. 7 overall pick in the NBA draft, Shaedon Sharpe, the team battled back to win three in a row and hold opponents to an average of 74 points per game in the 10-minute period.

A small labral tear in his left shoulder shut him down for the rest of the game after he was pulled out of the first game.

Despite being 28th in 3-pointers made and tied for 25th in field goals made, Portland rode its defense to the title game and was one of the better rebound teams.

A presence down low has been given to Portland by the contributions of Hornets and Walker. Walker had one of the best games of the summer league off the bench when he had 16 points and 13 rebound.

Trail Blazers: Who to watch

After being selected by the Clippers in last year's draft, Keon Johnson was one of the players Portland picked up last season.

Johnson, who was the No. 21 overall pick, played in 22 games with the Blazers and averaged 9.7 points and just under 3 assists and 3 rebound while his 3-point shot continued to improve.

In Las Vegas, he has been the leading scorer for the team. He scored 25 points on 61.5% shooting in the win over the Astros.

The turnover bug has been a bit of a problem for Johnson. He has had six turnovers in each of the last two games. Johnson will have to limit his mistakes if Portland is to succeed.

It has been easy to see that Johnson has played better. In the same amount of minutes, Johnson struggled from the field, shooting 28.8% overall and 20.0% from 3. He is shooting 48.0% and 40.0% in four games this year.

Knicks: How they got here

The Knicks have looked great during their Vegas run, with wins over Golden State, Chicago, and the Magic.

The Knicks were the third highest scoring team in Vegas with 95.3 points per game. New York was the leader in the summer league in steals.

Don't forget to stay up to date on the NBA free agency and trade news.

In his first three games in Vegas, the guard put up 24 points, including 22 against the Magic.

Among players who took part in at least three contests, Grimes was the only one to finish in the top five.

There has been a lot of work done at the point guard position. Over the course of the year, he has averaged 16 points and 5.5 assists.

In four games, Sims has shot 80.0% with the ball in his hands.

Sims has shot 20-of-26 from the floor and averaged a double-double a game.

Knicks: Who to watch

Feron Hunt played for the Dallas Mavericks in the summer league before being cut from the team and assigned to the G League TexasLegends.

He was signed to a 10-day hardship contract by the New Orleans Pelicans in December but never played a game for the organization.

Hunt was added to the Knicks' roster as a two-way player in March after returning to the TexasLegends. He played two games for the franchise and seven for the G League affiliate, but Las Vegas has been his chance to really show what he can do.

In Vegas, Hunt has averaged 2.5 steals per game and put up 11.8 points.

He struggled from 3 in summer league play but showed he could shoot from long range when he shot 37.5% from deep on 3.3 attempts.

Hunt has been making the most of his opportunities in the summer league and that is exactly what he has been doing.
