With PUMA's classic Rider running shoe line approaching a milestone 40th anniversary, the German brand has tapped its timeless DNA to create two new styles: the Future Rider and the Style Rider. Rider footwear was originally designed for runners who were moving off the track and onto the streets, so PUMA has given the Rider's timeless ethos a modern-day makeover without sacrificing what made it influential in the first place.
Starting things off is the Future Rider, a slimmed-down silhouette with a minimal nylon and upper, heel stabilizer, sleek , and gum . Next up is the Style Rider, a shoe for those who prefer something a touch more beefy. It presents a mesh upper with a dual-layered , extra branded hits, and a waffle . Each uses technology for high-rebound performance and comfort. This combination of old and new is part of PUMA's ever-expanding - short for "future meets retro" - project, which takes heritage silhouettes and mixes them with modern-day trends and tech.
And for lovers of the classics, PUMA has also re-released two OG of the Fast Rider - black/orange and blue/yellow. Lightweight and sleek, the onetime high-mileage runner is now set to serve as a beloved lifestyle design, just before it begins its fifth decade of existence.
All three styles are available now on PUMA.com. The Future Rider retails for $90 USD, the Style Rider for an even $100 USD, and the throwback Fast Rider for $80 USD.
