Less than a day after her death, New York City's chief medical examiner completed her autopsy and said she died from blunt force trauma to the torso.
NBC New York reported yesterday that the death was ruled an accident after the medical examiner said Trump fell down the stairs. She was pronounced dead on the scene after she was found at the bottom of her stairs. One day before former President Donald Trump and two of his children with Ivana Trump were set to testify in a civil court investigation into the famous Trump business empire, a phone call was made to the emergency room.
Spectators and media talking heads are starting to speculate on social media. The medical examiner's conclusion that the daughter of the president fell down the stairs is not believed by many.
"So Trump is excused from his deposition today due to Ivana Trump's death, but has no problem attending his rally in AZ this weekend," one said. It's cool." It's cool.
The Trump family was able to delay their deposition because no one else was at Ivana's home. There's nothing to suggest that anything other than the rumor mill is stirring up conspiracy theories. Shortly after, the former President canceled the rally. Falls are the leading cause of death for people over the age of 65 according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
That doesn't mean that Ivana Trump's marriage was easy or that there was no animosity between her and the President. She gave a divorce statement that included descriptions of traumatic sexual abuse.
It's understandable to see people react to a family that's controversial, but it's disrespectful to speculate over Ivana's death for fun.
In spite of everything, may Ivana find some peace.
