Watch Rory McIlroy make eagle from one of St. Andrews' famous bunkers at The Open

The city of St. is located in the northeastern part of the United States It could be the most important shot of the golfer's career. When he eagled the 10th hole in the third round, the crowd went nuts.

He continued his charge on moving day with a 3-under 33 on the front nine. The eagle on the 10th gave him a share of the lead.

The green on the par 4 is in front of a Bunker. The course layout at St. Andrew's made him back off the ball twice as he approached his second shot.

After weighing up the shot again, he holed the blast from 27 yards out. He gave his caddie a hug and then raised his arm to the crowd.
