French fry producers are not accepting orders from Russia due to a shortage of french fries in the country, according to a report.

According to the former vice president of transformation at McDonald's Russia, five or six major producers of fries are not willing to supply Russia.

According to the report, Paroev said that Russia's potato harvest is short of what is needed.

The headquarters of major French fry producers are in unfriendly countries and will not trade with Russia, according to the CEO of Russia's rebranded McDonald's chains.

The report says that Vkusno & tochka has kept high standards and that customers wouldn't notice a difference.

French fries were removed from the menu last week due to the poor potato harvest in Russia. The fast-food chain stopped allowing customers to film and take photos at their restaurants after a few days.

Russian customers posted photos of bad burger buns and expired sauce on social media.

McDonald's restaurants in Russia were taken over by new owners in June after the American fast-food giant left the country in May.

Vkusno and tochka did not reply immediately.
