Watch golfer Shane Lowry do the improbable on consecutive holes at the Open Championship

The city of St. is located in the northeastern part of the United States The world's best golfers are having their way with the Old Course at St.

The Open champion had eagles on the par-4s on the 9th and 10th. It was the first time in 21 years that a player had back-to-back eagles in The Open.

The eagles helped push the man. He was 9 under after 10 holes.

The ninth hole is the easiest at the Old course. The 14th on the hole was the site of an eagle by Lowry. He made an eagle on the par-4 10th.

It was the fourth time this season that a golfer had eagles in a round. It is the only time in the last decade that multiple eagles have been recorded on par-4s in a major.
