The return of a gas turbine is crucial to the success of theNord Stream line.

The papers were requested by the Russian gas giant to help move the turbine back to Portovaya compressor station, which is a critical facility for theNord Stream gas line.

The European gas market is under pressure due to growing concerns of the future of Russian gas flows and the war in Ukraine.

The Russian producer said that it can't reach an objective conclusion on further developments regarding the safe operation of the Portovaya compressor station because it doesn't have any documents to allow the turbine to be moved out of Canada.

The facility, which is the entry point for the line, needs six major turbines to operate at full capacity. Not all of the turbines in Russia are in working condition since they are due for maintenance in Montreal.

As a result of the situation, flows viaNord Stream shrunk to just 40% of their capacity last month, before the link was fully halted for planned maintenance on July 11.

Canada was asked to release equipment. Since the component is banned under sanctions, the government in Canada will handle all issues with Germany. Canada granted a permit for the export of equipment that will need maintenance in Canada, as well as other equipment that will need maintenance in other countries.

James Herron helped with the project.
