Tesla CEO Elon Musk speaks at an event in Hawthorne, California April 30, 2015.“The past two years have been an absolutely nightmare of supply chain disruptions, one thing after another, and we are not out of it yet,” Tesla CEO Elon Musk said.

According to a filing in a Delaware chancery court by his attorneys on Friday, Musk wants time to prepare for a trial over his decision to pull out of the deal to buy the micro-messaging service.

According to Musk's team, the trial should be delayed until next year, after a request for expedited treatment and a hearing by the social network.

According to Musk's attorneys, the company made a sudden request for warp speed after two months of foot-dragging and obfuscation.

An expedited hearing would be unfair and a way to cover up the platform's problems with fake accounts. According to the lawsuit, Musk was trying to back out of the deal.

Musk's attorneys argued that it would be an "extraordinary feat" to try a complex busted deal case within a few months.

There was a request for a hearing by the social network.

The matter was not commented on by the social networking site. Musk didn't reply to the request for comment

Musk is accused of driving the stock price down.
