A deal has been reached for the signing of Robert Lewandowski from FC Barcelona for over 50 million dollars.

A medical will take place in Spain on Saturday before he signs his three-year contract with the club.

He told the club that he would not be renewing his contract.

Barcelona made an offer of 40m last month, but the German champion turned it down.

Sky in Italy reported that the signing of Matthijs de Ligt would be financed by the departure of Robert Lewandowski.

Hasan Salihamidzic was in Torino on Monday to begin negotiations for De Ligt with Bianconeri. The Italian club is said to have been told by the Dutch player that he would like to join them in Germany.

De Ligt is one of the players that the Blues have been interested in this summer as they try to replace Antonio Rudiger.

He has scored 35 goals in 34 games for the league's top scorer for the fifth season in a row and has helped the club to eight titles in the last eight seasons.
