When you refresh your feed in the app, you may hear a couple of new noises. One is a windup trill that plays when you first pull the feed, and after your feed is done refreshing, you might hear a chirp. The sounds are more robotic than real birds.

You can hear what I'm saying on the recording. You might have heard it before, but it is different.

We first noticed the change on Friday afternoon, and we have seen a lot of people talk about it on social media. Over the last couple of weeks, there have been a few mentions of a chirp, which could mean that a bigger release is on the way.

This isn't an only change for the mobile device. The second noise I described is occasionally heard by a staff member on the site, as well as a few of the messages I have found about the chirp.

Pull down on your phone's screen to refresh your feed. If you don't hear it, try closing the app and opening it again, and make sure you're on the most recent version of the app. We don't know how widespread this is, so you might not have the sounds just yet.

I will refresh the app to listen to the new sounds again. Again. It could be just one more time. I promised last time.
