Tiger: This might have been my last Open at St. Andrews (1:17)

Tiger Woods walked up the 18th fairway after not making the cut at the Open Championship. I think it's 1:14.

The city of St. is located in the northeastern part of the United States Tiger Woods might have played his final round of The Open at St.

Because of the R&A's schedule, The Open probably won't return to the Old course until at least 2027. Then, Woods will be 50. He doesn't know if he'll be in good enough shape to play at a high level at that point.

The Open Championship Woods won in 2000 and 2005 didn't happen as he had hoped. He shot a 78 in the first round and a 75- in the second. He won't be at the 150th playing of The Open because of his 9 over total.

"It felt like this might have been my last British Open here at St. It was an unbelievable feeling. I know what Jack and Arnold went through. I felt like I was at the end.

They know what it takes to win an Open Championship. I've been fortunate enough to have won this two times. It was very emotional because I don't know what my health will be like. I feel like I will be able to play future British Opens, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to play that long when it comes back around here.

After watching Woods compete in three majors over the last four months, what do we think of his comeback?

It's difficult to gauge the state of Woods' game because it's obvious that he's not playing a lot of golf because of his injured leg.

The 15-time major champion is currently in the top 1000 in the official world golf ranking. He doesn't want to play any more tournaments outside of the majors. He didn't feel like he needed to play in all of them after skipping the U.S. Open. Depending on the course and how he is feeling, he will pick and choose his spots.

There were some positives to take away from St. Andrews. The longest drive of the day was by him. He was one of the top 25 players in the field after two rounds. He hit 65.6% of the greens and 65.6% of the fairway.

The Old Course's expansive greens were the source of Woods' troubles. He used to have the best short game in the world, but he's playing so little now that it might be hard for him to turn on and off those feelings. He had three three-putts over 36 holes.

Woods made some mistakes during his two day play. I had a hard time getting the feel of the greens. I didn't leave a lot of putts long. Same as the previous day. I hit a few poor shots and ended up in bad places. I didn't get anything going.

It's possible that Woods' days of competing for major titles are behind him. No one expected him to win another major before he won the Masters. This comeback is more difficult.

The state of Woods' health

Woods was asked if he would play more tournaments outside of the majors to prepare for the ones that matter. He thought his body wouldn't handle it.

Woods said that he understood. It's difficult to walk and play 18 holes when you're more battle-hardened. People don't know what I have to go through in order to do what I just did. People don't understand what that means. It is hard enough just to do what I did.

At the Masters and thePGA Championship, Woods said that his leg would get stronger over time. He said the leg was stronger and he appeared to walk more confidently. Before the start of the tournament, he walked 58 holes.

He didn't know he was playing at Augusta. I did not have the strength to play 72 holes. The car ran out of gas. It is not the same now. It has gotten stronger. Hopefully it will keep getting that way. It's a challenge because of the amount of hardware in there.

It's easy to forget that Woods had more hardware than a Home Depot when he was injured in a car wreck in February of 2021.

In the past seven years, Woods has had five back operations. His fourth microdiscectomy was supposed to relieve nerve pain in his lower back and he had his first back surgery after a spine fusion. He had surgery on his left knee and missed a lot of time because of injuries.

His body can get better, but it's not a whole lot. At 46 you don't heal as well as you do at 26. So it is what it is, right?

What's next for Tiger?

Woods didn't say when he'd be back. It's hard to imagine that he won't play in the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas in November. The tournament supports his foundation and other charities.

It would be a big surprise if Woods didn't play in the tournament with his son. They finished second in the event. Woods hadn't played since the car wreck.

They hope to see more of them on the tour.

Jon Rahm wished him the best. He's done a lot of amazing things around the world. I hope he can live a normal life from now on. He is in pain. I know he puts a front out there and tries to walk normally, but you can tell when he goes down some hills. He is suffering.

I don't know if they'll be able to fix it, but I think he can have a normal life. Tiger Woods can have a normal life as well.
