The city of St. is located in the northeastern part of the United States Tiger Woods walked across the bridge on the 18th fairway of the Old Course on Friday, wondering if he had played the final round of his storied career in The Open at St.

The 150th anniversary of The Open will be missed by three-time winner Tiger Woods. He shot a 3-over 75 in the second round and was well behind the leaders.

The Open probably won't be back at St. Andrew until at least the year 2027. The golfer will be 51 years old. He acknowledged earlier this week that this could be his last Open on the Old Course, so he was going to attend.

Scottie said he didn't know if this would be Tiger's last one. He is a pretty resilient guy and he loves to compete. He has something for us over the next few years. It's really special when you can see him on the golf course.

The England's hope was that Woods would play again.

It would be sad if it was the end. When that time comes, golf will be sad. Hopefully not. It's cool to have him around as a player. We didn't know if he would come back. It's pretty special to have him play golf here.

When Tiger Woods hosts the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas in November, golf fans won't be able to see him compete.

After Woods was seriously injured in a car accident outside Los Angeles in February 2021, golf fans might have wondered if they would ever see him on a course again. After the wreck, surgeons almost had to amputate his leg. It took several months for him to regain the strength to walk again.

Woods made a surprise return to competition at the Masters. He made the cut after shooting 1-under 71 in the first round, but faded on the weekend in cold weather. His worst score at Augusta National was a 6-over 78 in the final two rounds.

At the PGA Championship, Woods made the cut. He made the cut with a 69 in the second round, but withdrew after 54 holes because of pain in his leg. He shot 9-over in the third round.

Woods played better on Friday than he did on Thursday. He avoided the big mistakes and three-putts that hurt him in the opening round, in which he shot a poor 6-over 78.

His second shot ended up in a burn in front of the green and he ended up with a double bogey. He parred the first hole on Friday.

The Old Course's greens were slower than Woods said they were. He put the ball in the basket much better Friday. On the second hole, he missed a 20-footer. He made a 25-footer on the third to get to 1 under.

There were no thoughts of Woods going low to stay for the weekend. He made a mistake on the fourth hole. Woods slammed his iron on the ground after he hit his second shot. He had a nice putt from off the green, but he missed the 3 footer.

The last approach shot would get away from him. Woods' second shot on the fifth ended up about 6 feet from the pin. It was the pin for the other hole that hurt him the most. The ball was not close to the hole he was playing. He missed a 3-footer after leaving an eagle putt short.

Woods had to chip out after his tee shot on the sixth landed in a fairway bunkers. Woods made nine straight pars from there.
