On Friday, the company launched Apple Music sessions, featuring exclusive live performances from a variety of artists, including Carrie Underwood and Tenille Townes.
They have been recorded in Apple Music's own studio in Nashville, Tennessee. If you have hardware that supports the format, you can listen to these recordings in Apple's Lossless, high-res quality.

Apple says more artists are on the way. If you're not a fan of country music, don't worry, Apple will try to get into other genres in the future.
If all of this sounds familiar, it's because it's Apple's take on the streaming service. Apple can brag that its exclusive live recordings are more audiophile-friendly because the audio quality is not as good as expected.
