A judge turned down another demand by Steve Bannon to delay his trial on contempt charges after he blew off a subpoena to testify.

The trial was scheduled to start on Monday, but was delayed after the release of a recording that showed Donald Trump planning to make a false claim about winning the election. Trump wanted to stay in the Oval Office before the votes were counted and before he made baseless claims about a rigged election.

Trump is going to just proclaim victory. Yes, right? He is going to make a statement. That doesn't mean he's a winner, according to audio of an October 31, 2020, meeting. He's going to say he's a winner.

The media and the courts would go crazy as a result of the predicted storm. Trump said, "You lose." I'm the victor. The uproarious laughter on the tape was caused by the uproarious laughter on the tape.

The release of the recording would affect the jury pool for the trial, according to CBS News.

The jury would be biased by the fact that the panel was playing a recording of the day before the insurrection. CNN will be airing a documentary on the subject on Sunday.

The jury selection process is the best way to get rid of bias, according to the District Judge.

NBC News reported from the courthouse that the trial will go on as planned.

There was a request that the trial be delayed because of media influence. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi or members of the select committee can't be called to testify during the trial of Steve Bannon.

The door was left open for Bannon to give evidence to jurors about his last minute offer to testify. After Trump said he would waive executive privilege to allow Bannon to testify, the committee was contacted by the strategist.

The Department of Justice prosecutors said in a court filing that Trump's attorney told them last month that the president didn't invoke executive privilege.

They said that his actions were a last-ditch attempt to avoid accountability. He is about to face the consequences of his decision to default now that he has refused to comply with the subpoena.

White House aides testified in support of the prediction that Trump would win the election. When early votes tend to lean Republican, witnesses testified that Rudy Giuliani encouraged Trump to declare himself the winner.

Observers say that a plan by Trump to proclaim himself the winner before any possible fraud could even be suspected could be a sign of pre-meditation by Trump and his allies to steal the election.
