The company has made a small but notable branding change: it is now called ChromeOS, with no space in between. James Croom is the senior director of marketing for ChromeOS.

There is a change to the official logo at the top of the page.

That’s three entire spaces saved just in this screenshot. (And four if you count the logo.)

The change hasn't been implemented in all areas yet. The operating system is spelled as two different words on the page. According to Croom, the company is aware the change isn't reflected everywhere but is working towards making it appear more consistently, so it sounds like the new chromeOS branding will be switched over eventually.

Look at that those spaces!

This isn't the biggest deal in the world, but we love to look at branding and logos Apple moved its operating systems to the "thingOS" branding, and I'm wondering if the same thing could happen with Google. It's possible that Wear OS will be dropped in favor of WearOS when thePixel Watch launches this fall. The word "AndroidOS" will be written so that we can collectively manifest it. Better yet, "FuchsiaOS."

We don't have any indication that there will be any changes to ChromeOS. It is time to stop writing with that space.
