A retired US general said on Thursday that Russia could be pushed back to its pre- war borders by the year 2023.

The ability of the Ukrainians to push Russian troops back to the borders depends on continued Western support, according to the former commanding general of the US Army in Europe.

He said that most of Putin's military is committed to the war, but Russia has had little success in its efforts.
