Report: 5-Star PF GG Jackson Expected to Decommit from UNC, Enroll at South Carolina

GG Jackson, a 5-star power forward ranked as the top prospect in the men's basketball class of 2023, is planning to enroll early at South Carolina.

Jackson is expected to decommit from North Carolina and enroll early at hometown South Carolina, according to multiple sources.

Jackson plays high school ball in Columbia, South Carolina, which is home to the USC football team.

Jackson is in the top six on the prospects list.

Rivals and On3 are both ranked first by Rivals.

Losing Jackson would be a blow to the Tar Heels, but they still have another 5-star prospect coming to town in 2023 in Roselle Catholic.

A group of four 4-star recruits are part of the deep class of 2022.

South Carolina gained a huge amount from the Heels' reported loss.

The Gamecocks didn't make the NCAA tournament after making the Final Four. Frank Martin was replaced by a new coach who was also a former leader of the CHATtanooga group.

If he is able to land Jackson, Paris will get off to a great start in South Carolina.
