The Biden administration requires hospitals to perform abortions in medical emergencies, according to the Attorney General of Texas.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued guidance on the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), affirming that providers who perform "legally mandated, life- or health-saving abortion services in emergency situations" are protected. As part of Biden's executive order, the guidance came.

Hospitals and doctors risk their licenses in Texas because of Biden's rule, according to the lawsuit.

The emergency care rule was clarified last week by the HHS Secretary.

Women have the right to emergency care, including abortion care, regardless of where they live, according to the law. "Today, in no uncertain terms, we are reinforcing that we expect providers to continue offering these services, and that federal law doesn't prohibit abortion in emergency care."

A "sanctity of life" holiday was declared by the state on the day of the Supreme Court's decision. Texas banned abortions immediately after the ruling was made, as well as blocking attempts by abortion providers in the state to restart services.

According to the press release, the Biden Administration wants to transform every emergency room in the country into an abortion clinic.

"I will make sure that President Biden is forced to comply with the Supreme Court's important decision regarding abortion and I will not allow him to undermine and distort existing laws to fit his administration's agenda," he stated.
