The Idaho Republican Party will consider 31 resolutions at its three-day convention starting Thursday, including one already adopted by Texas Republicans that President joe Biden isn't the legitimate leader of the country

The Idaho resolution that Donald Trump won with a majority of the vote in 2020 is similar to the Texas resolution that was passed last month.

Even though both Texas and Idaho have Republican secretaries of state, the resolutions argue that they circumvented their state legislature.

The resolution rejecting the election results was calledasinine by a former chief justice of the Idaho Supreme Court.

He said that the Idaho Republican Party has stopped being able to function as a political party because of their obsession with conspiracy theories. The Idaho Republican Party has developed an authoritarian streak that is tearing our country apart.

The Texas resolution states that audits found the vote count for the 2020 election to be fraudulent in two states.

The courts or the election commission have rejected election fraud claims in Wisconsin.

In Arizona, where Republicans submitted a slate of fake electors, Trump supporters hired inexperienced consultants to conduct a forensic audit. The Arizona Senate president was subpoenaed by the FBI for orchestrating a discredited review of the election.

The CEO of MyPillow accused Idaho of allowing election fraud. The accuracy of the 2020 results was confirmed by a partial recount, according to the Idaho Secretary of State.

Reexamining the 2020 election by different state or local Republican party officials seems to be an issue that is commanding a lot of attention in the Republican party. It is possible that it will continue to cast doubt on our elections and make us fear that our votes aren't being counted.

One of the proposed Idaho Republican Party resolutions is to not recognize "imaginary identities".

Several resolutions involve voting and focus on people who aren't Republicans.

A resolution titled "A Resolution to Protect Rural Representation" calls for changing Idaho's system for statewide elections into a national-style electoral college, which can lead to candidates winning without receiving the most votes.

Even though Hillary Clinton lost the popular vote by 3 million votes, Donald Trump won more electoral college votes than she did. The proposed system for Idaho would count votes from counties. Changing the state's constitution is necessary for such a change to take place.

Idaho Public Television has been targeted by far-right Republicans for a long time.

The officers of the Idaho Republican Party will be elected. Tom Luna, who served as the state's schools chief, is being challenged by a Republican. In the Republican primary for secretary of state, Moon argued that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent and that Biden was not president.

Mainstream Idaho Republicans have dominated the state for 30 years. They have become targets of members of their own party who call them RINOs.

The power struggle will likely continue at the convention even though the May primary was a mixed bag.

The governor's race went to more mainstream Idaho Republicans. During his eight years in the U.S. House, Labrador was a favorite of the Tea Party and he defeated five-term Attorney General Lawrence Wasden.

The co-chairman of the legislature's powerful budget-setting committee was one of several far-right lawmakers who lost their seats.

That's right.

The story has been changed to say that the convention starts Thursday.
