Kevin Spacey denied the allegations against him during his appearance at a London court on Thursday.
Spacey pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual assault and one count of forcing a person to engage in "penetrative sexual activity" without their consent.
According to Sky News, the trial in the case will last three to four weeks.
Spacey will be allowed to leave the U.K. until the trial begins.
The charges against the actor are related to incidents that took place as long as 17 years ago.
The sexual assault charges against Spacey were filed by the British Crown Prosecution Service and he was granted bail. The actor's lawyer denied any wrongdoing during his court appearance. After the charges against him were made public Spacey issued a statement to ABC's Good Morning America saying he wouldvoluntarily appear.
The actor has been accused of sexual assaults in the U.S. and the UK. The Old Vic theater, where Spacey was artistic director from 2004 to 2015, has received 20 complaints of inappropriate behavior by the actor.
