Hyundai’s Ioniq 6 could be your next home away from home office

The recently-revealed Ioniq 6 was pitched by SangYup Lee as a personal mobile studio where you can not only work but also relax and refresh. The car was described as a personal space during a press conference.

If you don't like working in a home office, you could switch to a mobile one. There are 64 different colors and themes for the interior. The top-of-the-line model with two motor and all-wheel drive can do 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds.

A center console that holds a laptop and a notes application built into one of the two 12-inch screens are some of the remote work features emphasized by the automaker. To maximize cabin space, there are fourUSB-C ports, oneUSB-A port, and slimmer car seats. They are designed to lean back and sleep on, according to the company.

Its shape isn't just for the aesthetic. The Ioniq 6 has a drag coefficient of 0.21, which helps bring its power consumption down to 14kWh per 100 km, giving it an estimated 610 km or 373 miles from the long-range 77.4-kWh battery. The standard range option has a 53kWh battery. Side view cameras instead of traditional mirrors are not usually seen in the US.

The Ioniq 6 is aimed at young professionals that the company suggests will want more tech, while the Ioniq 5 is more for young families that need the space and function of an SUV The Ioniq 6 includes auto 2WD / 4WD switch, extra tuning features, and better performance and efficiency thanks to upgrades for the motor and drivetrain. The Ioniq 6 will be the first car from the company to support software updates over the air.

The Ioniq 6 NFT collection will be available to experience in the metaverse studio on Zepeto along with a Roblox experience. The Ioniq 6 online experience can be used for virtual reality.

The production of Ioniq 6 will begin in Korea in the third quarter of this year. The company did not say if the EV will be built at its upcoming plant in Georgia. There are no nationwide release plans for the Ioniq 5 at the moment.

The Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 are two of the 11 all-electric models that will be added to the lineup by the year 2030. The N performance EV was teased in the video without any additional information. According to a recent report,Hyundai is taking EV seriously enough to pass other big automakers in EV sales.
