The world's largest EV battery plant will be built in Kansas at a cost of $4 billion.
One of the largest battery factories in the world is being built by the company in Nevada.
The supplier wants to start making a high-capacity battery for the electric car maker in Japan. The batteries are expected to increase energy capacity fivefold and boost range by more than 15%.
EV range will be improved by Panasonic's advanced battery technology, and scaling its operations will lower the cost to produce EV.
The president and CEO of Panasonic Energy said that expanding battery production in the U.S. is important to meet demand.
The project is the largest of its kind in Kansas history. Up to 4,000 new jobs will be created by the facility in the Kansas City region.
The story is getting better.
