The booster 7 prototype was supposed to go up in flames this week.

While the company is still assessing the damage to the prototype and the company's massive launch pad and tower, Musk is confident that the inaugural flight of Starship could still happen in weeks.

Musk said that the test launch will happen as soon as next month.

Not Good

We are not going to hold our breath. The CEO promised the same thing in October of last year.

There has been a lot of change since then. The Federal Aviation Administration has given the go-ahead for the launch and it comes with 75 environmental conditions.

The explosion shocked onlookers, who saw the massive rocket stage burst into flames in a fraction of a second. Musk said that the explosion was to be expected, but later said that it was actually not good.

Visual Aid

Musk said that the base of the vehicle seemed okay by flashlight.

Musk went back to the booster section.

The process of inspecting all the engines will likely take a while.

According to Musk, Booster 7 will eventually make its way to the company's High Bay, a massive assembly hall used to put together the various parts of the spaceship and its booster.

We're excited for when the day does finally come, despite the fact that it's not looking likely that we'll see the spaceship go up next month.
