The Genesis Mini will be released in the US on October 27th. This version is more powerful than the hardware that was released in 2019. It will ship with over 50 games and some of them will be Sonic CD titles. Sonic CD and Shining Force CD are two of the ones. Pre-order the Genesis Mini 2 through Amazon for $103.80 and you'll be the first to get it. The high shipping costs are due to the fact that US buyers will be bringing this from Japan.
You're getting a six-button gamepad instead of the three-button one on the original, and it's based on the Genesis Model 2. OutRun, Virtua Racing, After Burner II, Super Hang-On, and more are some of the arcade hits that have been announced by SEGA. The partial list can be found here.
There is a bonus game in the collection. The Genesis Mini 2 console, one wired controller, and a power cord are included in the box. The new device is smaller than the previous one.
It makes sense for the Genesis- branded console to come to the US since it was already announced in Japan. The first iteration of the game did a great job. Hopefully the Genesis Mini 2 will deliver a similar experience to the Genesis Mini, with some classic Genesis games.
