Mesut Ozil
Mesut Ozil signed for Fenerbahce on a free transfer after eight years with Arsenal in January 2021

Mesut Ozil's contract with Fenerbahce has been terminated.

Since he was left out of the squad in March, he has not played for the club.

Istanbul Basaksehir is expected to be the new home of the former footballer.

After signing with Fenerbahce as a free agent in January of 2021, he scored nine goals and made 37 appearances over the course of 18 months.

According to a statement from Fenerbahce, the contract between the club and Mesut Ozil will be terminated by mutual agreement.

We wish Mesut Ozil the best of luck.

He said last month that he would wait for his time to contribute to his child love.

I did not come to Turkey for a holiday.

I have no other purpose than to contribute when I sweat. My childhood love is Fenerbahce and I want to live there. I won't stop playing football until I do these things.

In his first press conference as Fenerbahce's new coach, Jesus referred to the end of the Ozil era.
