Users can use Meta and Ray-Bans's Stories glasses to make calls, send text messages, and hear messages read aloud. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg says users will soon be able to reply to Messenger messages with voice commands, following the roll out of similar features on Facebook Messenger last year.

The new features integrate stories more closely into the meta. Meta is moving towards becoming a virtual and augmented reality company. They're also a potential stopgap following Meta's delay of its consumer augmented reality glasses launch. It is following in the footsteps of companies like Bose, which discontinued a set of augmented reality audio glasses. The core feature of stories is their ability to capture photos and videos and post them on Facebook.

The new feature will have a limited impact on many users since Stories are only available in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, and Australia.
