Giphy is an online hub where internet users upload and share Gifs. Today, July 13th, is when the new partnership will begin to roll out. mod's choice to opt out will be left up to the new subreddits.

The new partnership will eliminate the extra step of clicking on a link to view the image or animation on a third-party host. Those who paid for a Powerups subscription were the only ones who were able to see the GIFs. The feature has been a hit over the last two years and should now be available to everyone.

The latest upgrade to the site is the addition of GIFs. In April, Reddit began to index comments in its searches, a move that it said could make it easier to find things outside of specific subreddits and was one of the top requested features by users. The NFT profile picture sales scheme that avoids using the term "NFT" is currently being tested.
