  • Twitter sued Elon Musk for violating the agreement to buy the company. 
  • Twitter’s court filing indicates many of Musk’s violations have “cast a pall over Twitter and its business.”
  • Musk decided to terminate the deal last week stating the company did not provide accurate data on the number of spam or bot accounts on the platform. 

The social media platform has filed a lawsuit against Musk. The Delaware court has been asked to order Musk to complete the merger.

According to the lawsuit, Musk believes that he is free to change his mind and ruin the company.

The agreement to buy Twitter was terminated last week by the founder and CEO due to the fact that the company did not reveal accurate data on the number of bot accounts. Mike Ringler, Musk's lawyer, said that Musk had reached out to him many times.

The Merger Agreement gives him the right to end it if it is notcured.

The board was committed to closing the transaction on the price and terms agreed upon with Musk and was going to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement.

Taylor said they were confident they would prevail in the Delaware court.

Over concerns that Musk would build a competing platform, Twitter did not give more information to Musk.

Many of Musk's violations have cast a pall over the company.
