According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Utah Jazz are starting to warm to outside interest in their star guard.
Utah's price seems to be steep.
Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespnAfter previously shutting down inquiries on moving All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell, rival teams say the Utah Jazz are showing a willingness to listen on possible trade scenarios, sources tell ESPN.
Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespnThe Jazz are open to trades across the entire roster too, but Mitchell is certainly the organization’s most valuable and coveted asset.
Rival teams contacted Mitchell about his availability, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. Utah felt that opposing teams were trying to "pounce on a perceived opportunity to trade for Mitchell cheaply."
Mitchell's days in Salt Lake City were numbered when Rudy Gobert was traded, and this isn't a surprise.
Rudy Gobert was traded to the Jazz along with four first-round picks, a first-round pick swap and a player haul.
It looked like Danny Ainge and the general manger were moving in a different direction, but perhaps Utah could use all of those assets to land another star.
The Jazz couldn't get past the conference semifinals in any of their last six trips to the playoffs. It's time to rebuild if a retool wasn't going to raise the ceiling.
If the Gobert trade is any indication, Utah is in a good position to lay the groundwork for its next stage.

Mitchell is from New York and a move to the Knicks would make him closer to his hometown.
Johnnie Bryant was poached from the Jazz by the Knicks to join their coaching staff. Bryant was considered a favorite of Mitchell when Utah was looking for a new head coach, according to Stein.
New York may be able to make this happen since the Jazz might be interested in the trade.
Zach Braziller @NYPost_Brazille#Knicks fans would you move Barrett to land Mitchell? Doubt team would, but they probably can’t get him otherwise. https://t.co/nG4yiMbQT7
Sam Quinn @SamQuinnCBSIf I’m the Knicks I’m not offering RJ Barrett in a Donovan Mitchell deal.
Up to eight firsts. Some combination of IQ/Obi/Grimes/McBride. All of that is fine. But I’m daring someone to outbid me before I give up Barrett. His ascent next to Mitchell would be their upside.
The Knicks are going to get some competition now that the Jazz have changed their stance on Mitchell.
It seemed like the Gobert trade came together quickly. The drama surrounding Mitchell might wrap up sooner than expected, since the Kevin Durant saga is dragging on.
